Event Duration:
7 PM to 11PM

Free family film & fun under the stars in Skyway, on Seattle's southern border. The fate of the galaxy is at stake and whether you cheer on the Rebels or the world-ending power of the Death Star, you'll wanna witness it all alongside friends when Garrison Titan and Alpha Base appear at another midsummer night's outdoor screening of ROGUE ONE, A Star Wars Story.

FOOD: Nach'Yo Average Food Truck (FB.com/NachYoAverageFoodTruck), Full Tilt Ice Cream truck, 50¢ popcorn & $1 full-size candy at concessions
FUN: Lightsaber performance by Jet City Saber Guild, costumed appearances by Garrison Titan, free balloon twisting by Paisley The Clown, preshow trivia w/prizes, Bluray DVD prize drawing

"The Rebel Alliance makes a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow."

The preshow gets started at 8pm behind the Skyway 7-Eleven in the U.S. Bank parking lot (but insiders know to get here as early as 7pm for a good spot). Don’t forget to bring a comfy chair or blanket (or picnic table, or beanbag) and some cash for the concession stand (there is a U.S. Bank ATM on premises, if you prefer). Movie starts at 9pm with a Bluray DVD prize drawing to follow.
A professional photographer will be on hand to capture all the magic.

We are the West Hill Community Association, a local 501(c)(3) volunteer-powered nonprofit (EIN #91-1891551) representing the eight neighborhoods of unincorporated King County on Seattle’s southern border.

We put on the largest, most anticipated summer event in our area, Skyway Outdoor Cinema. Over the first four Fridays in August, we draw 300 to 400 enthusiastic fans for free family films and fun - ranging from music, balloon twisters, giveaways and freshly made popcorn to food trucks and even a raffle.

While we're lucky to host this event in one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in the country, the reality is also that a lot of our families that attend have told us that they normally could not afford to take their whole family out to see the latest blockbuster at the movie theater, and social service organizations in the area tell us that our event is the one bright spot in an otherwise very difficult year for families dealing with subjects that are almost too difficult to think about, from gang violence and death to poverty and other really tough situations.
