Description: WWU Queer Con is a one-day convention about queer media and queer creators held at Western Washington University. We're is invested in creating a welcoming community for LGBT and queer people and their art. Our convention will have an artist alley featuring panels, a costume contest, and 30+ professional and student artists writers, and vendors, all focused on queer comics and science fiction media. With this event, we hope to provide an opportunity to celebrate queer comics and creators and bring further visibility to the queer community in Bellingham. It is also important to us to make family friendly queer events accessible for both WWU students and the surrounding community. For the charity aspect, we will be raising money for Equal Rights Washington, an LGBTQ+ organization that fights for justice and equity for Washington's LGBTQ+ community.
