Description: Event to raise funds and awareness for researching a cure for over 40 types of Muscular Dystrophy. The event will be in the North Meadow of the Zoo, a wide open grassy area. Mingle with the crowd, pose for a few photos, and have fun! MDA works in the local community to provide much-needed assistance to the over 800 families who are affected by neuromuscular diseases in King County. MDA provides help to these families through comprehensive medical care, research, funding for repair of wheelchairs and leg braces, support groups, and a summer camp program for children.
